Great song, although I think I prefer the lyrics to the song . . . speaking of which, shouldn't "great" read "grave" in the second verse?
Hmm, could be. I'm confused though, since It does seem to say "he" takes our bodies slow…I'd prefer the grave reading though. 😉
It's not clear, is it? But then, who would "the great" be? Should it be "the grave" then why make it masculine? I'm unaware of other artists' gendering of the grave, although in the West death is usually anthropomorphised as a man, or at least as male.
The great would be God…who would control death. (written by a Christian guy)I'd prefer grave, though…I'm confused.
