Found this guy trying to climb my wall in my backyard. Poor guy kept failing, so eventually we moved him to the garden. I didn’t realize he had blue armpits until I saw this picture on my computer. Very cool.

Buddy at Night
I don’t do many night shots, mainly because I don’t have an external flash. For this one, used the Lightscoop to bounce the on-camera flash off the garage to the right. I liked that it was still obvious that it was nighttime, yet you get all the detail of him.
I really want an external flash to play with.
My Goal
We’re all searching for how to have hope in a world that ultimately breaks our hearts. We’re all trying to figure out how to give our lives meaning. We may all have different answers to the question, but the essential struggle is a universal and human one.
It is this struggle that interests me, and that I will use this blog to explore through various philosophical, spiritual, and aesthetic means.
